    To be read at dusk

"You wretch! You had to go and write my story of the lady haunted by the face; I shall have nothing to talk about now at dull parties. Yours most truly, E. C. Gaskell."

    CAST

Frances Paterson, Alex Thomas, Jonathan Ainscough, Lucy Peacock

    DIRECTOR: Katharine Armitage

    PRODUCER: Jonathan Ainscough

    WRITER: Katharine Armitage

A smaller project commisioned by the Manchester Literature Festival, To be read at dusk was an adaptation of the Dickens' short story which also explored his relationship with Elizabeth Gaskell. Performed in the style of a travelling troupe, pulling props and set out of travelling cases and making the audience part of the scenery, this was a high energy show and very fun to pull together.
